Vermonters Gunning for Bush and Cheney

  • The good town of Brattleboro, Vermont, has voted to indict President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and arrest their state-constitution-ignoring asses should they visit the state. Not that they’re likely to: Vermont remains the only state Bush has not visited during his administration. One of the reasons for that may have something to do with the Green Mountain State leading the country in per-capita soldier deaths in Iraq. Apparently, of its “Freedom and Unity” state motto, Vermont’s residents reserve the right to renege on the “Unity” part once the “Freedom” part’s been tampered with. [Chicago Tribune]
