Sylvester Stallone, Art House Favorite

Since the late 1960s, New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music has developed a worldwide reputation as a home for the avant-garde. From its groundbreaking theater productions to its championing of minimalist and new wave composers, the performing arts center has been at the forefront of international culture. Its BAM Rose Cinemas have been vital in providing the community with access to the kind of art films which used to require a subway ride to Manhattan.

Tomorrow night they’re showing the 1989 classic Tango and Cash, starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.
