They say the mailman delivers in rain or shine, snow or sleet – but apparently not on Saturdays, starting this summer.
In a surprising announcement, the U.S. Postal Service plans to stop delivering mail on Saturdays, according to the Associated Press. However, it will continue to deliver packages six days a week.

The service cutback – which will begin in August – will save the financially-strapped agency some $2 billion dollars a year.
A formal announcement about the change in service is expected later Wednesday.
