Fresh from her ejection from American Idol, Memphis soul singer Alexis Grace said she never thought she would be eliminated so soon.

“I kind of had a feeling I was in the bottom three,” Grace said. “I never imagined myself going home that early. I wanted to make it farther, at least.”

Grace said her family was more upset than she was over the elimination: “They are my biggest fans and biggest supporters, and they really wanted me to go far and believed that I could.”
