Grammys A Ratings Smash


Over 20 million viewers tuned into CBS for the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, a jump over last year’s ratings.

Okay, those are about 70 million shy of Super Bowl numbers, but not bad for an awards show these days.

ABC took second place all night.

Against the first third of the awards show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition came in a strong second, with nearly half the viewership of the Grammys. Against the second third, Desperate Housewives.

on ABC was even stronger. In the last third, the Grammy’s were back to double the viewership of Brothers & Sisters.
