A contemporary art fair in Shanghai has banned display of a project by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye—tattooed pigs, covered in corporate logos. These pigs were bred and tattooed in Beijing and now they will go unregarded. Their skins sell for around 10 grand. Last week, a tattoo piece by Delvoye—on a human’s back—was sold to a collector for a bit over $200,000. The collector has the rights to see it three times a year until the person dies, at which time he may have the person skinned. Yes.
