Robin Williams died today at age 63 of an apparent suicide, and as the world mourns the loss of a great actor, his children must mourn the loss of a loving father. The actor posted a heartbreaking message to his daughter, Zelda, shortly before his death, and RadarOnline.com has the details.

On July 31, Williams posted a message on his Instagram account that read: "#tbt and Happy Birthday to Ms .Zelda Rae Williams! Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!”

He also has a son, Cody Allan Williams, 22, by ex-wife — and Zelda’s mom — Marsha Garces, and another son, Zachary Pym Williams, 31, by first wife Valerie Velardi.

Although his daughter was unavailable for comment, the late actor’s wife, Susan Schneider released a statement asking for her husband to be remembered for the legacy he leaves behind.

“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken,” Schneider said in the statement. “On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

A rep for family added, "He had been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss."
