The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) shared horrific footage of Hamas militants blowing up a father with a grenade in front of his children, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Israel screened the "raw and unedited" footage to the press on Monday, weeks after the IDF's offensive campaign began in response to Hamas attacks on October 7, which killed over 1,400 Israelis.

According to The Sun, Israel defended the decision to screen the gruesome montage to journalists in an attempt to counter alleged Hamas propaganda against the Jewish state.

In one clip from the montage, Hamas militants were seen using a grenade to blow up an Israeli father as his two defenseless young sons watched in horror.

One of his sons could be heard crying out, "Daddy’s dead, it’s not a prank. I wish I were dead."

Israeli officials said another clip featured in the montage was taken during the alleged interrogation of a 24-year-old hostage by operatives from Hamas' Zaiton battalion.

The Hamas militant claims he's been given orders to "behead" Israeli women, children, and elderly. The operative further claimed he was told to treat Israelis "like animals" and even desecrate the remains of their victims.

"They tell us to kill, massacre them everywhere," the Hamas operative said in the clip. "In the religion, they say it is forbidden to kill children, women, the elderly. In the army (Hamas), the commander will tell you, stomp on their heads, behead them, do whatever you want with them."

Israeli officials said the footage was compiled using video taken by Hamas militants during their violent raid in early October. Other shocking features included an operative beheading a man with a shovel and a young child being ruthlessly gunned down as they took cover underneath a table.

Another featured the charred remains of an unrecognizable newborn.

While it's unclear if the IDF plans to release the footage to the public, it follows previously released footage taken on October 7.

Videos recorded at the Tribe of Nova music festival, which was taking place in Southern Israel near Gaza at the time of the attack, captured missiles flying overhead as festival goers ran for safety.

Other footage captured festival attendees fleeing across an open field as they dodged Hamas gunfire. Across the region, an estimated 199 hostages were believed to be taken in Gaza by militants during the assault.
