Kim Kardashian Breaks Down In Tears Over Marital Woes: ‘I Just Got Caught Up In The Fairytale’

The writing was on the wall for Kim Kardashian's and Kris Humphries' short lived union on Sunday's edition of E!’s Kourtney & Kim Take New York, as viewers saw Kim and sister Khloe make up after an extended fight, with Kim breaking down to her younger sister about the anguish she felt over her failing marriage.
She told Khloe: 'I'm just so unhappy. And I don't like who I am in this marriage, who I am to him, who I am to myself. My gut and my heart is telling me that I just did this too fast and I don't know what I'm doing. I think I just got caught up in the fairytale. ... I just don't feel like myself.”
Khloe told her big sister: 'You're not yourself," and advised Kim: "If you're unhappy or if you feel in your gut, you have to do what's best for you ... but you have to understand, being in love and being married isn't all rainbows and bunnies."
The reunion between Kim, 31, and Khloe, 27, on Sunday's episode took some work in itself, as Kim had to be prodded by Kourtney's partner Scott Disick to let bygones be bygones with her little sis.
In an off-camera interview, Kim confided the marital woes were preventing her from achieving happiness.
"I've been in a horrible mood since I got to New York: All I can think about is all the problems I've had,” Kim said. “And I just feel so lost and I don't know how I got to this point.”
As for Kris -- who's been getting booed by basketball fans after the 72-day marriage -- he finally seemed to be getting the hint that trouble was around the corner.
He said: “Kim and I, we're butting heads a little bit. I don't really know what to think. It is what it is and I'm just going to let it be.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Kim -- who has final say over the show's editing -- will do her best to present herself "as the victim" and Humphries as "the bad guy" on the program this season, in the wake of their marriage ending after a mere 72 days.
"Kim was stunned by the amount of bad press and the public relations nightmare she has endured since deciding to file for divorce,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. “Kim will be using the show to attempt to rehab her image.
"Kim has been telling her inner circle that she has worked very hard to get where she has, and she isn't going to let her marriage and subsequent decision to divorce Kris Humphries ruin that.”
Kourtney & Kim Take New York airs on E! Sundays at 10/9c.
