All Downhill From Here? Lindsey Vonn Worried Tiger Could Reconcile With Ex Elin Nordegren, Following Her Split From Billionaire Boyfriend

Old habits die hard.
At least that’s what Lindsey Vonn fears when it comes to her boyfriend of more than a year, Tiger Woods.
But it’s not what you’re thinking: That the notorious serial cheater is going to engage in the numerous and scandalous affairs that ended up destroying his marriage.
Instead, the 29-year-old is worried that he’ll go back to only one of his exes: former wife Elin Nordegren, now that she’s broken things off with her billionaire boyfriend.
Friends told The National ENQUIRER that Lindsey has now expressed concern that her golf pro beau is eyeing a reconciliation with the mother of his two children, Sam, 6, and Charlie, 5, in the wake of her split with coal mogul Christopher Cline.
(Notably, the parting occurred shortly after The ENQUIRER revealed the dark side of his empire, including four work-related deaths at his Illinois coal mine.)
“Elin grew tired of the relationship, not only because Christopher is under fire, but also because his head was so wrapped up in business she felt like a distant second place,” said a friend.
Since his headline-making divorce from the former Swedish model in 2009 — after more than a dozen women revealed the 38-year-old athlete had affairs with them — and a $110 million settlement later, they both moved on to new relationships and mended fences, even going on double dates, the magazine reports.
But now that Elin is single, Lindsey “really fears it’s only a matter of time until Tiger begs her to take him back,” a pal told The ENQUIRER.
In an exclusive interview with the magazine, the Olympic skier’s former father-in-law revealed what her ex-husband, Thomas Vonn, really thought about her shocking hook-up with Tiger.
“He took the high road and didn’t want to say anything bad about her,” said Peter Vonn.
But news of her romancing such a notorious womanizer left him laughing when the magazine mentioned the golfer’s name.
“Sure, of course, it’s always hard,” Peter said. “It’s never easy.”
