Lindsay Lohan's publicist worked endlessly to handle the scandal continually surrounding the troubled actress and RadarOnline.com has learned he finally had enough and has quit.

Steve Honig has been Lindsay's publicist for nearly a year and a half, but resigned on Wednesday night.

The publicist didn't give any reason for leaving Lindsay except to say, "I'm not discussing this out of respect for my client."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lindsay was most recently accused of swiping $15,000 worth of wardrobe from the set of Scary Movie 5 — not to mention her father Michael trying to stage an intervention with his daughter last week because he's worried she's partying too much, a fight with her mother Dina after a night of partying together in which the cops were called, being arrested for a hit-and-run in New York City, allegedly trashing Elizabeth Taylor's original trailer, being accused of stealing jewelry from a house party and was temporarily banned from the Chateau Marmont for an outstanding $46,000 bill.
