Outrageous Boo Boo Bombshell! Anna Cardwell Claims Child Molester Mark McDaniel Is Pumpkin’s ‘So-Called Father’

Did Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell just blow the lid off the family’s biggest secrets — who the father of Lauryn “Pumpkin” Thompson really is?
In a shocking sit-down interview, Cardwell claims 14-year-old Pumpkin believes she’s the daughter of Mama June Shannon’s convicted child molester ex-boyfriend, Mark McDaniel.
“He was supposed to be Pumpkin's so-called father or whatever it is,' the 20 year old told Dr. Drew on HLN.
Cardwell says that is one of the main reasons Pumpkin defended her mother so ferociously when the news first broke, a response that baffled fans at the time.
“You know, out of all the kids we have, Mama does not know who Pumpkin's dad is,” says Cardwell. “And Pumpkin thinks it's Mark, which kind of hurts my feelings, because Mama is making her believe that someone who did that to me is her father.”
True or not, the story is causing major friction in the Honey Boo Boo household.
“Now Pumpkin hates me for it... I don't really care,” insists Cardwell. “Me and Pumpkin have never been that close... Now with her cussing me out, saying, ‘Screw you! F***k you!’ I'm just done with it.”
Cardwell also guesses that 53-year-old McDaniel, who was released from prison after ten years in March, may have returned to Mama June's life because he wanted to “surprise” Pumpkin with a visit.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Cardwell also states, “Mama didn't believe me for a while. I would say, ‘Mama, he did it, I can't take the past back. He's apologized for what he's done but she won't... I'm hurt now and I was hurt then.'”
Though Mama June, 35, stood by her man’s side at the time, McDaniel plead guilty to aggravated child molestation in a plea deal. The grand jury accused him of “playing videos depicting sexual acts for Anna Marie Shannon,” who wasa then 8 years old, and “fondling the vagina of Anna Marie Shannon,” “ejaculating on the person of Anna Marie Shannon,” and sodomizing the young girl by placing “the sex organs of the accused” into the mouth of his victim.
Still, continues Cardwell, who is the married mother of a two-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, and now lives Alabama, still communicates with her mom, and they are “working on things” in their relationship.
