The conservators for Britney Spears have filed legal documents requesting that a judge formally order the pop star’s former manager, Sam Lutfi, to pay them $121k in legal fees for work they did obtaining a restraining order that prevented Lutfi from contacting Spears, is exclusively reporting.

Team Spears was awarded the $121k when they filed and successfully obtained a restraining order against Lutfi.

EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENTS: Britney Spears’ Attorneys Demanding Sam Lufti Pay

According to the court docs “although the requested fees and costs may be greater than is typically associated with the grant of restraining orders, this was a complex and highly contested matter…The Court held six days of hearings involving eight live witnesses, the introduction of scores of exhibits into evidence and extensive oral arguments, including issues of law as well as closing arguments…The Co-Conservators respectfully request that the Court award reasonable costs and attorneys’ fees in the amount of $114,552.90 against Lutfi.”

The conservators renewed their request because “the Court declined to rule on the matter of attorneys’ fees with respect to Lutfi and Eardley until the resolution of their respective appeals. As the matters on appeal have since been resolved, the Co-Conservators hereby renew their motions for attorneys’ fees with respect to Lutfi and Eardley.”

The restraining order that had been in place against Lutfi, preventing him from having any contact with Spears or her children, expired on March 17.

As first reported, the judge handling Spears’ conservatorship met with the singer recently to discuss her accepting a job with X Factor. Brit’s conservators needed to get approval from the court for her to join the hit talent show.

Meanwhile, Britney won’t be getting married to her fiancé Jason Trawick until later this year. Trawick recently petitioned the court to become one of Brit’s conservators, but won’t be involved with any of her business affairs. “This is the natural step because Britney’s dad, Jamie, hasn’t lived with Britney in almost two years. Britney has been living with Jason and her two sons in a rental house for almost a year-and-a-half,” a source told The hearing for Trawick to formally be appointed as Brit’s conservator is scheduled to take place next week.

Lutfi’s lawsuit against Britney Spears and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears is scheduled to go to trial this fall for breach of contract and defamation. The hearing for Team Spears’ request for the attorneys’ fees is scheduled for June 20, 2012.
