Meghan Markle's Dad 'Banned From Royal Events For Life' After TV Interview
Meghan Markle's dad Thomas has been banned from royal events for life after he blindsided the family with his surprise TV interview, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The palace had no idea that Thomas was going to give the tell-all interview to Good Morning Britain, a source told RadarOnline.com.
The royals were "shocked and blindsided" when Meghan's reclusive dad, who lives Mexico, opened up to Piers Morgan about his chats with Prince Harry about politics, his staged photo scandal, his heart condition and his biggest regrets after missing his daughter’s wedding day!
"The palace was given no heads up on Thomas' interview," the source said.
"Meghan's father has now made it impossible to ever again be invited to any royal events.
"Thomas can't be trusted to not sell stories to the media and he will get absolutely no access," the source said.
According to the insider who understands royal protocol, the Queen "would have been woken up the morning of and briefed about Thomas' interview.
"The Queen is an understanding woman and probably wouldn't but would feel terrible for Meghan. It's a sad state of affairs."
Thomas, 73, told interviewer, famed Brit journalist Morgan how he felt when Meghan, 36, told him she was dating Harry, 33.
"Well of course it’s ‘wow’, it comes out as a ‘wow’ but you know this is my daughter. My daughter’s certainly, certainly a prize for him as well,” said Thomas.
“Yeah he’s great, he’s an interesting guy, he’s a prince, but my daughter’s been a princess since the day she was born,” he sweetly added.
Thomas didn't walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding to Harry after he was caught in a staged photo scandal and then said he had to undergo emergency heart surgery.
Prince Charles stepped in to be Meghan's aisle escort at the big wedding instead.
The rest of the interview was more problematic for the palace as Meghan’s dad then admitted that he’s yet to meet Harry in person, but the two have shared various stimulating phone conversations over the past year.
“We talked a few times about Donald Trump and Brexit, things like that, and he’s an interesting guy,” Thomas continued.
“I was complaining I didn’t like Donald Trump, he said ‘give Donald Trump a chance.’ I sort of disagreed with that, but I still like Harry. That was his politics, I have my politics.” Thomas also touched on Harry’s views about Brexit, saying the Prince seemed “open to the experiment.”

Prince Harry's political views aren't anything the royal family wants the public to know!
Thomas also opined on TV about the royals being "very complicated. They royals… they’re very complicated and it’s a whole different lifestyle."
Meghan's dad also admitted his staged photo scandal, was a “serious mistake” but he did it because he wanted to change his image!
But clearly, Thomas didn't understand the royal family wants him muzzled for good!
"It was almost a 30 minute interview - unheard off for members of the family," the source told RadarOnline.com.
"The palace keeps reaching out to dad offering help and guidance and Thomas keeps saying no thanks.
"The palace doesn't know what to do with this man - they can't have Harry reach out to him anymore because they worry Thomas will tell the press all about it.
"Meghan will be distraught. She is trying so hard and her dad keeps opening his mouth" the insider added.
