Meghan Markle's Brother's Fiancee Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Him

Will Meghan Markle's family be a royal pain for Prince Harry? As the former Suits star and Harry plan their May wedding, her troubled family caused embarrassment as it was revealed Meghan's brother's fiancée, Darlene Blount, was arrested on New Year's eve in Oregon after an altercation with Thomas Markle.
As the Daily Mail reported, a law enforcement source with the Josephine County Jail said that Thomas' fiancée "Darlene Blount was booked on January 1st. She was charged with fourth degree assault."
Blount, 37, the woman who could be Meghan and Harry's future sister-in-law, was reportedly arrested just before midnight on New Year and was booked around 4:20 am, after an alleged boozy altercation with Thomas, 51.
Meanwhile, Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, celebrated the New Year with a getaway to the French Riviera! According to reports, Meghan and her Prince flew out of London on New Year's Eve on a scheduled British Airways flight to Nice—with three bodyguards in tow.
It's a far cry from the New Year's meltdown involving Meghan's brother Thomas, who hasn't seen or spoken to his half-sister since 2011.
Thomas told the Daily Mail that he and Meghan are not estranged but lost touch after she moved to Toronto, Canada, to star on Suits.
"She got to the point where she got busier and busier so it was really hard to nail her down. It's not really that we grew apart, it was she was out there in Toronto doing her job – it was the biggest deal she got on TV so she had no time," he said.
While Thomas doesn't expect to be invited to Meghan and Harry's royal wedding, he recently said he'd love to attend. However, following his galpal's arrest—and his own previous trouble with the law, (charges were dropped) an invite will likely NOT be forthcoming!
As RadarOnline.com has reported, Thomas recently said that Meghan's father Thomas Sr., 73, was "extremely hurt" over Prince Harry's recent comments about the actress having a fantastic Christmas with the royal family.
It's not the first time Meghan's family has been embroiled in controversy. Her sister Samantha Grant has bashed Meghan and Prince Harry.
