Drugs, Arrests, Money Woes & Family Feuds! ‘The Hills’ Stars' Biggest Scandals Exposed

The Hills are alive — with drama!
Nearly a decade after a bunch of 20-somethings became famous for partying and feuding on camera in Los Angeles, the cast is reuniting for a reboot.
Well, most of them that is! Though original leads Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari are sitting this round out, much of the original cast is returning, including Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.
They are joined by new stars, including former The O.C. alum Mischa Barton and Brandon Thomas Lee, son of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
Tensions are already running high, after RadarOnline.com revealed that Mischa made some serious enemies on set!
According to a production source, Mischa “starts a lot of fake fights” with her co-stars.
“Whitney and Audrina are really just over her and they do not understand why she is on the show to begin with, considering she was not on the original,” the insider added.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Pratt recently revealed she doesn’t talk to her brother Spencer nor his wife Heidi – and she’s not about to start!
“We are not on good terms. We are not on speaking terms. I do not consider them my family,” Stephanie said on her new podcast, Pratt Cast, adding the issues between the three have gone on for years now.
It’s sure to all play out on the new season of The Hills: New Beginnings. But before it does, discover what baggage the cast brings with them in this RadarOnline.com gallery.
Brody Jenner
Brody Jenner may be technically connected to the Kardashian clan, but he has made it very clear he wants nothing to do with his step siblings. “They’re not my f**king family!” he famously declared at Coachella in 2016. And that wasn’t the first time the 35-year-old has been caught badmouthing his step siblings. “I don’t see them very often,” Jenner admitted in July 2015. “I live out in Malibu, they live in Calabasas.”
Lonely Brody
But it’s not just the Kardashian side of the family Brody is detached from. When he got married to his longtime girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, who is also part of the new reboot, dad Caitlyn Jenner snubbed the ceremony, deciding instead to attend a fundraiser with her much younger girlfriend Sophia Hutchins. Half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner also skipped the nuptials.
Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt
“Speidi” could likely use a return to The Hills, after the couple suffered some serious financial setbacks after the original show wrapped. Spencer Pratt, 35, in particular had real problems managing his cash, RadarOnline.com revealed, spending a fortune on expensive cars and pricey “energy crystals”. It got so bad that at one point, he and Heidi Montag were forced to live in one of his mother’s beach homes.
Heidi’s Surgeries
Heidi’s financial problems didn’t stop her from doling out some big bucks on a massive plastic surgery marathon of 10 procedures in 24 hours! The 32-year-old’s cosmetic changes included a mini brow lift, Botox, a nose job revision, a chin reduction, fat injections in the cheeks and lips, liposuction to her neck and thighs, and a buttock augmentation.
Stephanie Pratt
Spencer’s younger sister, Stephanie, has a history of drug and alcohol addictions, along with eating disorders, as she detailed in her revealing autobiography Made In Reality. The former bad girl, now 33, admits to smoking crystal meth on her snack breaks while attending Santa Monica's prestigious Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences. She also entered rehab after getting a DUI in 2009.
Audrina Partridge
Audrina Patridge enters the reboot single and ready to mingle, after a tumultuous marriage in 2016 to BMX racer Corey Bohan ended after just months. Audrina, 34, claimed Corey’s “aggressive behavior” frightened her, and after a messy court battle, she was awarded primary custody of their 2-year-old daughter Kirra Max.
Justin Bobby
Things could be awkward at first for Justin Bobby’s big return to The Hills. The former hairdresser and current rocker famously dated Audrina Patridge on the initial version of the show, and their on-again off-again relationship was well chronicled. With Audrina single again, will her reunion with the now 37-year-old Justin reignite old sparks?
Mischa Barton
Troubled actress Mischa Barton quickly rose to fame at 17 for her starring role on The O.C. But after the show ended in 2007, she suffered a slew of setbacks. In June 2017, Barton was forced to drag ex Jon Zacharias to court to ban him from circulating their sex tape. That same year, Barton was rushed to the hospital for a mental evaluation after cops were called to her West Hollywood home after she was reportedly spotted in her backyard hanging over the fence, babbling about her mother and spitting out “incoherent statements.”
Mischa’s Demons
Mischa, now 33, claimed her meltdown started after she was given the date rape drug GHB. But RadarOnline.com has reported the skeletons in her closet run deep, including openly smoking pot and snorting cocaine in a New York bar and allegedly being caught doing mushrooms at a dinner party. “Mischa has been on this downward spiral for years now,” an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Whitney Port
Fans were shocked when Whitney Port, 34, recently revealed that some of the scenes of the original series were indeed faked. At the end of The Hills first season in 2006, Whitney was offered a pristine summer internship in Paris. The show closed with Whitney meeting boss Lisa Love - then Vogue and Teen Vogue’s West Coast Director - at LAX to fly to the French capital. But it turns out, that was all faked for the cameras. After filming the big departure scene, Lisa and Whitney turned around and went back to their respective homes.
Whitney’s Suit
What WAS real was a March 2010 lawsuit in which Adrienne Baravetto, who claims to have designed Whitney’s clothing line Whitney Eve, sued the reality star and her father for nonpayment. The parties reached an undisclosed settlement in 2011.
Brandon Thomas Lee
RadarOnline.com readers will remember the saga that began when Brandon Thomas Lee, 23, allegedly punched his dad, rocker Tommy Lee, during a heated argument in 2018 about mom Pamela Anderson. Sources close to them said it all began when Tommy posted an unflattering photo of the actress and made fun of her appearance. After months of nasty fights and social media outbursts, the two finally made peace at the end of the year.
Jason Wahler
After the first version of The Hills wrapped up, Jason Wahler, 32, found himself in jail and then rehab after being booked on an assault and drinking charges. Jason even entered Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab after being arrested three times in 2010. But he quickly fell off the wagon.
Jason Crashes
It all came crashing down when Jason tried to kill himself. “I was so uncomfortable in my own skin that I contemplated suicide a number of times, and even attempted it once,” he admitted in 2013. “I took 10 times more antabuse (a popular drug that helps alcoholics abstain from drinking) than I was supposed to in an effort to take my own life, but was saved after being rushed to the hospital and receiving treatment for my overdose.” Jason now says he is sober.
Frankie Delgado
Frankie Delgado, 38, graduated from The Hills straight to a 2009 relationship with Rihanna. At the time RadarOnline.com reported on one of their more intimate dates at a nightclub. “She was snuggling with him on her couch and the two were all about each other,” the source explained, “Rihanna gave Frankie a lap type dance when Destiny’s Child’s song ‘Bug-A-Boo’ started playing…he kept pulling at Rihanna’s white dress and she giggled, playfully pushing him away and then hugging him!”
