The end is here: Teresa Giudice attends Sunday mass with family on her last day before federal prison.
Today, Teresa will begin her 15-month sentence in federal prison for 41 counts of fraud.
But the Real Housewives of New Jersey star mustered her courage on Sunday as she attended mass with her family at the Sacred Hearth Church in New Jersey.
The 42-year-old smiled at her daughters – Gia, 13; Gabriella, 10; Milania, 8; and Audriana, 5 – knowing this would be their last meaningful visit together in a long time.
"Teresa can't believe this day is finally here,” an insider told Radar. “She's beyond distraught. But she's going to spend every last second with her beautiful daughters before she goes away."
Teresa and husband Joe were first suspected in 2009 when they filed for bankruptcy and then quickly withdrew just before an auction of their furniture was to take place.
In 2013, the couple was charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud.
The couple was also accused of falsifying their loan applications, as well as bankruptcy paperwork.
Originally, the reality stars planned to plead not guilty, but eventually admitted guilt on the 41 charges against them.
Despite the turmoil, Teresa has managed to enjoy the holiday season with her family, and even make some quick cash.
The RHONJ diva was spotted spending time with her daughters and looking for last-minute publicity opportunities in the weeks leading up to her sentence.
She also shared a bizarre New Year’s resolution for 2015 – eating less carbs.
With a final church visit under her belt, Teresa was ready to being her sentence.
The Jersey girl was officially incarcerated early this morning, slipping in quietly amongst the buzz.
Teresa’s first days in prison will likely include a thorough strip search and a psychological assessment.
Joe – sentenced to 41 months – will begin his sentence when she is done serving time.
Good luck to Teresa!
