The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, 42, is preparing to begin her prison sentence in a matter of days — but RadarOnline.com has learned that her daughters still don’t know the truth about why they are losing their mom. Instead of admitting she’s headed to lockup by Jan. 5, sources tell RadarOnline.com, she’s told her youngest girls she is going away to work!

Gia, 13, and Gabriella, 10, "do know where Teresa is going,” a source told RadarOnline.com, but Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4, are in the dark. “Teresa and Joe feel that they are too young to fully comprehend what is going on,” the source explained.

Instead, said the source, “Teresa and Joe are telling the girls that she is going away to work.”

And according to another insider, she’s not pretending that she’ll be filming. Said the source, “She told them she is going to jail to work on a book about jail," like Orange Is the New Black.

Meanwhile, Teresa is making the most of her last days of freedom. As RadarOnline.com reported, she recently took time to see her daughter, Gia, perform with her band 3KT after Christmas.
