Nancy Guthrie is the mother of 'Today' co-host Savannah Guthrie.

Nancy, 84, was reported missing on February 1 after she failed to show up to a planned get-together with a friend to watch a livestream of a church service. The last time she was seen was the evening before, when she had dinner with her daughter Annie and her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni.

Later that night, Cioni allegedly drove Nancy back to her Arizona home and dropped her off at roughly 9:48 p.m.

Local police looked into her disappearance and quickly determined that not only were her keys and cell phone still at the empty home, but there was blood on the front door.

Days later, disturbing footage of her potential kidnapper was released publicly, depicting a masked person with a weapon standing at her door. The surveillance video reportedly showed him inside the house for around 40 minutes before returning outside.

Investigators were able to glean important pieces of information and make several educated guesses about the potential kidnapper from the short clips. As Radar previously reported, the man was wearing a ski mask that showed his eyes, a pair of thick black gloves that seemingly made it difficult for him to fumble with the doorbell camera, and a backpack with reflective straps that appeared to be an Ozark Trail Hiker Pack.

It's since been suggested that the backpack and a few other items the man had on him may have been purchased at a Tucson, Arizona, Walmart nearby, according to The Daily Mail.

Jim Clemente, who once worked as a profiler for the FBI, additionally told Fox News that he believed he may have seen another distinctive detail on the person featured in the footage – a tattoo.

"That tattoo, if it is a tattoo, will be able to help them rule in and rule out people," he said at the time. "Certainly it will help the public."

Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released a number of videos attempting to contact the alleged kidnapper.

Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have released several videos on social media imploring the alleged kidnapper to bring their mother home safely.

"We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated," Savannah said in an Instagram post shared on February 4. "We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us."

A few days later, the television host sat between her brother and sister once again as she confirmed that they'd received a message from the supposed kidnapper.

"We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her," she said. "This is the only way we will have peace."

The alleged ransom letters have yet to be verified as legitimate by authorities.
