The Canadian singer belted out a rendition of the late rap icon’s 1995 track "Dear Mama" at the Gotha Club in Cannes, where he’s in town to take in the annual film festival.

The impertinent 20-year-old was flanked by current rap star Rick Ross in the performance, which we assume was an homage to his own mother Pattie Mallette, who’s displayed amazing patience and understanding in watching her son publicly morph from a baby-faced teen breakout to one of the biggest egos in show biz.
