Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift may share the same audience, but they are not pals!
In a new interview with Allure, Underwood, who poked fun at Swift at the 2012 CMA Awards, admits that she and the 23-year-old are not exactly friends – and RadarOnline.com has the details.
“I’m not close to her,” she says about Swift. “We run into each other at events. We’re never in the same place at the same time.”
In November 2012, Underwood and Brad Paisley, who were hosting the country music award’s show, mocked Swift and her failed relationships in the opening monologue.
She also points out in the interview that the television show Nashville and the Gwyneth Paltrow movie Country Strong do not depict the country music scene in Nashville accurately.
“Nashville is all about females; Country Strong is all about females. It’s like there’s a hundred spots for men to be able to take, but when it comes to women – and I don’t mean to say this in a bragging way at all – but unfortunately I’m the only female this year who spent three weeks at number one on the country charts. Three weeks.”
