The thought of yet another music competition brings the inevitable eye rolls and cries of “not another one!”

But new series Opening Act pledges to be different and the fact that there are no auditions, no judges and no eliminations already makes for an interesting concept and RadarOnline.com has exclusive video to give you a sneak peek of the hot new show.

The new E! series will propel undiscovered internet talent to stardom giving them the opportunity to be the opening act for some of the biggest names in music like Nicki Minaj, Rod Stewart, LMFAO, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Jason Mraz and Gym Class Heroes.

The kicker on this new series is that the hopefuls, mainly found on YouTube, do not even know that they are being considered for the life-changing break until the show’s host, Olivia Lee, surprises them in the most unusual ways.

One unsuspecting new artist, Arielle, thought she was just turning up for an open mic night when she was ambushed by Lee and whisked off to an intense five-day bootcamp to get her ready to hit the stage ahead of Rod Stewart at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The lucky few are handpicked by the Artist Development Team headed up by Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), country singer Martina McBride, Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz, singer/songwriter Jason Derülo, Beyoncé and Katy Perry’s vocal coach Nick Cooper and Rock Mafia producer Antonia Armato.

The show also follows each act’s emotional journey from relative obscurity to potential national attention and their shot at fame, including fights with family members, cash flow trouble and medical drama.
