Khloé Kardashian and husband, Lamar Odom, decided to not do a third season of their E! reality spin-off show, so the NBA star could focus on his career, which is now in a downward spiral, and their decision has put them at odds with Khloé's mom and manager, Kris Jenner, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
As previously reported, neither Khloé nor Lamar have publicly reacted yet to an online report their E! show Khloé & Lamar will cease production after its second season wraps so that Lamar can focus on reviving his basketball career.
"The idea to pull the plug on the show was all Lamar's. He felt that it was becoming a distraction and Khloé fully supported her husband," a family insider tells RadarOnline.com. "Lamar just isn't in a good place right now, he is dealing with his ailing father and trying to get back into shape so he can sign with an NBA team. Kris doesn't think it was necessary for them to not do another season of the show though and told them that Ryan Seacrest's production team would work with Khloé and Lamar to film less. Kris told Khloé that viewers could be inspired by what they are going through right now because the unemployment rate is so high. However, Khloé isn't budging and told her mom there will be no show, period. This is the problem when a mother makes money off of her kids, it could cloud her judgement. Kris gets a 10 percent commission on all of her children and Lamar's deals that she has brokered. Kris is now losing money because of Khloé and Lamar's decision to not do another season."
Lamar, who previously won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award, was a bust in Dallas. He played so poorly that the Mavs simply put him on an inactive list, choosing not to have him available for the playoffs, which started this past weekend. "Lamar felt that being on the show hurt his prospects of being signed with another NBA team because he was so unhappy on recent episodes of the show when he was traded to Dallas," the source says. "This season on Khloé and Lamar's reality show viewers have watched Lamar sulk and complain about how the Los Angeles Lakers traded him and his inability to find his groove with his new teammates."

Before his less-than-glorious departure from the Mavericks, Odom was confronted by team owner Mark Cuban in the locker room at halftime of his final game. RadarOnline.com confirmed that a furious Cuban tore into Odom and was disgusted by what appeared to be a lack of effort and interest by him. The team finalized its decision to dump the former Laker after that game.
Khloé & Lamar airs Sundays on E! at 10/9c.
