Six months after the suicide of her abusive husband Russell, Taylor Armstrong fought back tears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion special Monday night, and in a surprising statement, she said, “I love this person and miss him terribly.”
Russell ’s suicide happened just weeks before the second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered, and during the reunion, the ladies opened up about the emotional devastation they all suffered upon learning the news.
Kyle Richards said she was “Shocked. I thought it was a lie, I thought it was a mistake.”
Taylor, who has written a book about her abuse, broke down in tears as she remembered those days after finding her husband hanged in a friend’s house in L.A.
“At the time I couldn’t even focus on the show and it didn’t even matter to me,” she admitted. “I was suffering a tremendous loss just worried about how this happened. This could potentially have been the love of my life,” she sobbed.

Taylor then spoke about the abuse she claims she suffered at the hands of her husband and how it affected her. “I think a lot of women experience this. The pounding emotional abuse and you start to ingrain that in your self esteem. I would often say just hit me so we can get this over with because I knew this would end it.”
