Here's the naked truth: 2010 was the year of the sex tape.

RadarOnline.com is taking a look back at the top celebrities caught on camera in lewd sex tapes scandals during the last 12 months, including Chelsea Handler, Tila Tequila, Montana Fishburne and Kendra Wilkinson.

Comedian Chelsea Handler, who has her own chat show on E!, discovered how the past comes back to haunt you when a sex tape recorded on a VHS was accidentally distributed to Hollywood agents.

According to the 35-year-old, the XXX-rated tape was a "joke" that she'd shown at "birthday parties for years."

Shot At Love star Tila Tequila is no stranger to baring all.

But in 2010, she took an ex-boyfriend to court after learning he intended to release a sex tape they'd made together almost six years ago.

"My reputation and public persona will be negatively affected in a manner that cannot be reduced to a dollar amount," Tila told a Los Angeles judge. "The amateur videotape is of poor quality, and while I am not certain of all of its content, I do know that it is extremely embarrassing."

For Montana Fishburne, baring all was part of the plan.

Proving once again that a good sex tape scandal can really put your name on the map, Laurence Fishburne's seemingly unknown daughter tried to use the opportunity by coming out with her own sex tape filmed under her "stage name" Chippy D.

Montana said: "I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape by Vivid. I'm hoping the same magic will work for me."

Fame seekers Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag made headlines when the then-estranged husband claimed he had a sex tape of Montag and former Girl Next Door Karissa Shannon.

"There is a sex tape of me and Heidi," Shannon told RadarOnline.com, but noted that Spencer stole it. "It's just me and Heidi, that's it."

Speaking of Karissa Shannon, the blonde bombshell eventually did come out with a sex tape - but with actor and boyfriend Sam Jones III, released by Vivid Entertainment.

Another former Girl Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson, also starred in a sex tape this year called Kendra Exposed, in which she received an initial check from Vivid for a whopping $680,000.

Perhaps one of the most controversial sex tapes to make headlines this year was that of Tiger Woods mistress Devon James claiming to have made one with the shamed golfer back in 2008 and even set up a website to promote sales of the tape.
