Tina Simpson 'Furious' Over Joe’s Extravagant Mexican Getaway, Believes He Took A Mystery Guest

Joe Simpson ignited the wrath of soon-to-be-ex-wife Tina Simpson by blowing $300,000 from the former couple’s joint bank account during a recent getaway to Mexico, a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

No expense was spared when Joe, 54, booked the trip to Cabo San Lucas, including a 5-star resort, a spate of activities and lavish meals as he enjoyed time off from all his recent stresses, the source says.

Tina, 52, was fuming after she saw how much he had drained from their business account, the source says, and suspects that Joe's lavish spending was the result of trying to impress an unknown someone that he took on the vacation with him.

“$300,000 is such an excessive amount for a short break in Cabo, Tina can’t believe Joe spent that alone,” the source tells Radar.

“Sure, he stayed at the best hotel money can buy, paid for beach activities like watersports and went for fancy meals – but Tina says there's no way he could have blown through that much cash by himself.

“She thinks he was entertaining and trying to impress someone, however she doesn’t know who. Either way, the money Joe spent was from their business account, which she is fuming about.

“As far as Tina is concerned, that account should be used for their daughters’ careers and not as a personal holiday fund."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a close family source says Joe is trying to move their ongoing divorce battle from Texas to California as they continue to argue over money.

The scandal plagued father of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson believes he’s more likely to receive a better financial settlement in the no-fault divorce state if a Los Angeles judge presides over the case, the source says.

Meanwhile, the insider claims that Tina has tried to settle the divorce already, offering Joe $100 million of her $300 million fortune, but he’s not biting and wants more, including a bigger share of the profits from Jessica’s lucrative fashion line.
