As readers know, Earl was the live-in boyfriend of Mariah Woods' mother, Kristy Woods. He was taken in as a person of interest after Kristy claimed he was the last person to see the toddler before she mysteriously disappeared on November 27.

Earl Kimrey – who had previous run-ins with the law and was said to have anger issues – was later charged with concealing Mariah's body after knowing she didn't die of natural causes.

He allegedly tried to blame Mariah's eldest brother for her death.

The three-year-old's corpse was found at the bottom of a nearby creek on December 2.
