Larry Caputo Says He's 'At Peace' After Split From 'Long Island Medium' Star Theresa
It's been eight months since Long Island Medium stars, Larry and Theresa Caputo, announced their shocking split following 28 years of marriage, and now, Larry tells RadarOnline.com exclusively he's finally "at peace" with it all.
Larry revealed that after marriage counseling they went on a three month separation trial. With a Santa Monica home they had been leasing for three years, he decided to move there to put it to use while he could find clarity.
"I come out to California, I really don't know anyone out here. It just gave me time to reflect back on things. It made me realize a lot of things that I didn't notice before because of the business in our lives — whether it was because of the show or marital life — you take things for granted, you oversee things. But what has happened is that I've come to peace with myself."
"I don't have the stresses and the things exposed to me that were upsetting to me are not there any longer," Larry added. "I became un-stressed. I'm in surroundings that are not depressing. I'm happy — doing well."
Larry admitted to having been in divorce proceedings since February, but says despite his tarnished relationship with Theresa, he holds no grudges.
"There is no animosity. We still have a concern for each other," Larry revealed. "We're still going to be in each other's lives. We have children together. I don't have a bad thing to say about Theresa. This is the way things worked out. There's no need for bitterness or animosity. You just move on in different directions."

Looking back, Larry told RadarOnline.com that a lot of Theresa's successes derived from his support of her.
"Now I realize I was her support system. I was her backbone," he said. "She was very fearful from doing a lot of things. She led a very limited lifestyle because of fears and anxieties that she had. She depended me. And she's grown which I'm so happy for her. And her dependence on me became less because she was able to overcome a lot of the issues and fears that she had."
He said: "I'm happy for her and I'm proud that I was able to help her get to where she is. I was a devoted husband and a devoted father."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Larry revealed that the reality show contributed to their doomed marriage.
"It was exciting and fun in the beginning, but then after the longevity you become more exposed, now it effects your private life," he said. "When you’re in the public eye, it does put a strain on your personal life."
Larry has since revealed that he has met someone new who he hopes to continue to be with in the future.
"I just want to be in a a great relationship with the person I'm with now," he said. "I just want to enjoy the latter part of my life — traveling, doing things. What else can anybody ask for?"
