Trump's Weight Gain Sparks Fresh Health Fears as It Allegedly Poses 'Significant Risk,' According to Reports

Donald Trump's weight gain has reportedly posed a "significant health risk," RadarOnline.com can reveal.

According to a White House physical from May, the president came in at 238 pounds, 23 pounds heavier than what was listed during a 2023 weigh-in, and that has raised major red flags.

"The president has appeared heavier in photos than he did during his campaign, and the administration said he gained 14 pounds between his most recent annual medical check-ups," journalist Dan Diamond noted for The Washington Post. "White House physicians have said they’ve advised Trump – who has made little secret of his love for fast food and his distaste for intense exercise – to focus on weight loss, improving his diet and sustained physical activity. Outside doctors put it more directly: The 80-year-old president would be safer if he reduced his waistline."

According to Scott Kahan, the director for the National Center for Weight and Wellness, "addressing obesity to protect the president's health should be a priority similar to ensuring Secret Service protections for his life."

He added, "We know that obesity is a strong risk factor for numerous health issues — as well as premature disability and death."

Critics were quick to respond, with some accusing the administration of "hiding" the 80-year-old's true weight.

"Trump's doctor's scale is off by at least 75 lbs," one person claimed, as another theorized, "They're withholding Trump's health..."

A user raged, "He was never 215 lbs in either term. He looks like around 260 now," and one noted, "He might have gained that much more weight, but let's not pretend that the total value given for his previous weight was factual."

Earlier this year, claims also spread that the politician had received access to an experimental obesity drug through the FDA's compassionate-use program.

The program is typically reserved for patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions who are unable to access investigational treatments through traditional clinical trials. At the time, Rep. Ted Lieu had even publicly questioned whether Trump had received the treatment. However, the White House shot down the rumors.

"This application was not for the President," spokesperson Kush Desai noted on X.

Trump appears to be aware of how he's looking these days, as he confessed to rejecting a bulletproof vest for fear of making him look overweight.

Less than a week after a gunman attempted to kill the president during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Trump was asked about any potential security changes and whether he would consider wearing a protective vest.

"I don't know if I can handle looking 20 pounds heavier," he quipped as several around him at the Oval Office laughed. "These guys, they look so good, some of these guys. Some of these guys are physical specimens… I don't want to be near him. If you want to gain 20 to 25 pounds, get a vest."

However, it doesn't look as if Trump will be altering his diet anytime soon either, as his own Health Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., revealed that his boss is all about fast food.

"When you get on his airplane, it's just boxes and boxes of McDonald's," RFK Jr. said on the Net Positive podcast after being asked if he's ever attempted to push Trump to eat better.

According to RFK Jr., Trump sticks to fast food chains for one reason: to keep from getting sick.

The 72-year-old explained, "I'm not like a scold. He eats really good food most of the time, but when he's traveling, he likes to eat food from national chains because he's scared of getting food poisoning."

"When he's at Mar-a-Lago or the White House, that's the best food; it's all fresh produce, and a lot of it is locally sourced," RFK Jr. noted. "So he is eating good food most of the time."
