Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is said to be feeling new pressure over his Jeffrey Epstein links following Todd Blanche's appointment as Donald Trump's Attorney General – with the former prince's camp said to be watching developments involving Ghislaine Maxwell closely.

As Radaronline.com has reported, Blanche, 52, was sworn in on August 10 after narrowly winning Senate confirmation and previously serving as Deputy Attorney General.

Blanche previously met with convicted s-- trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell in custody.

His elevation is potentially significant for Andrew, 66, because Blanche met convicted trafficker Maxwell, 64, last August, when she was questioned about Epstein, the disgraced financier whose friendship with Andrew destroyed his royal career.

A senior palace source has now told Radar: "The reason Andrew would be sweating over Blanche's appointment is obvious. Blanche has personally sat down with Ghislaine Maxwell and is now America's most powerful law enforcement official. Anything that puts Epstein and Maxwell back under that spotlight is uncomfortable territory for Andrew, as it could bring him closer to being forced to give testimony in the US."

Maxwell has been transferred to a minimum-security federal prison camp, and her continued attempts to secure release have ensured speculation about what she might still tell authorities has persisted.

A second royal insider told us: "Ghislaine remains one of the people who knew Epstein's world from the inside. Andrew has spent years trying to put that entire chapter behind him, so the prospect of her continuing to engage with senior US officials is hardly something his side would welcome."

The Scandal That Destroyed His Royal Standing

Andrew Windsor has faced renewed scrutiny regarding his past Jeffrey Epstein links.

Andrew's association with Epstein became a defining scandal after photographs emerged showing the pair together, and Virginia Giuffre alleged she had been trafficked to have s-- with Andrew when she was 17.

Andrew repeatedly denied Giuffre's allegations.

His attempt to explain the relationship during a disastrous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview instead intensified the controversy. Andrew said he did not regret his friendship with Epstein because of the opportunities it had provided to meet influential people.

Days later, he withdrew from public royal duties.

Giuffre subsequently sued Andrew in New York, accusing him of sexual assault. Andrew denied wrongdoing and sought to have the case dismissed.

The lawsuit was settled in 2022 before trial for an undisclosed sum, though reported to be $15million.

The settlement contained no admission of liability by Andrew and included a statement that he regretted his association with Epstein and accepted that Giuffre was an established victim of abuse.

Epstein died by suicide inside a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.

Andrew's reputation nevertheless lay shattered.

His military affiliations and royal patronages were returned to Queen Elizabeth II, and he stopped using his HRH style in an official capacity as the monarchy sought to distance itself from the scandal.

Epstein died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal s---trafficking charges.

His death was ruled a suicide.

Maxwell was convicted in 2021 of s---trafficking-related offenses for helping Epstein recruit and groom underage girls and was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

Blanche became the Attorney General under President Donald Trump.

Blanche's arrival at the top of the Justice Department now gives the former Trump defense lawyer enormous authority over federal law enforcement.

He was confirmed 50-49 by the Senate before being sworn in as Attorney General.

Andrew was released "under investigation" after being arrested earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office after allegedly sharing sensitive information with his predator friend Epstein during his role as a trade envoy for Britain.
