Jailbird Jared's Ex-Wife Calls Child Sex Case A 'Nightmare,' Says Their Kids Still Beg For Daddy

Just hours after filing a scathing lawsuit against her pedophile ex-husband Jared Fogle's former employer, Subway restaurants, Katie McLaughlin spoke out for the first time since her "nightmare" unfolded more than a year ago.
Upon the police raid of the family's Indiana home on July 7, 2015, "I thought it was the worst day of my life," McLaughlin confessed in a press conference attended by RadarOnline.com. "I had no idea that the nightmare was just beginning."
The mother of Fogle's two young children also expressed her sympathy for her ex's at least 14 minor victims and their families.
"You're never far from my thoughts and prayers," she assured them.
McLaughlin condemned the 39-year-old former pitchman's crimes as "the worst" and "horrific" before bashing Subway's actions as "beyond comprehension."
She claimed she wasn't suing Subway for money, but simply to seek answers to the questions her very young children will likely ask about their father as they grow older.
"What did Subway know? When did they know it? Did they ever notify the authorities?" she asked, before speaking for the first time about the devastating impact Fogle's crimes have had on their kids.
"I have a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old ask me every day about jail and where their father is," she revealed.
"I think I owe my kids an explanation. I want to be able to answer those questions someday."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, McLaughlin, who said she was in "shock" upon first hearing the news, sued Subway today for allegedly knowing about Fogle's heinous crimes for more than a decade and failing to take proper action.
Fogle is currently serving more than 15 years in prison for having sex with minors and possessing child porn, a large portion of which was produced by his best friend and Jared Foundation exec Russell Taylor.
