Nearly three years since her sudden death, Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law Pat says it’s still “difficult” going on without the star.

The diva’s confidante speaks candidly in an upcoming episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now? and RadarOnline.com has a sneak peek of the touching interview.

In particular, Pat Houston talks about her sister-in-law’s posthumous CD and DVD, Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances.

“It’s very difficult doing a project without her being involved,” she says, “because you’re so used to going to a meeting and she and Clive Davis, her mentor are sitting there going over music.”

Houston says that the new project will be a special treat for Whitney fans. She says, “She loved performing live so…if you are a Whitney fan and you loved her live performances you will love this.”

And in a touching tribute she talks about the Grammy Award-winning star who grew up in New Jersey but would conquer the world with her legendary voice.

“Whitney’s legacy is definitely her music,” Houston says.

“And from a young girl singing in the basement with a broomstick to performing on stages all over the world she knew that was what her calling was.”

Whitney died in February 2012 after being found submerged in her bath in her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel – just hours before she was due to appear at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party.

In another preview of Sunday’s show, Houston talks about Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina who has gone on to marry the singer’s adoptive son, Nick Gordon.

Houston says, “It just didn’t sit well with me because I always looked at them as being…the brother and sister type.

“I just did not see the relationship moving in that direction. I still have a very hard time with it.

“But, you know, she’s 21 and it’s her life and you try to teach them in the way to go and hope that they hear you and, if they don’t hear you now, maybe later on they’ll get it.

“But no, we weren’t happy about it. Not at all.”
