Lindsay Lohan has faced her fair share of criticism for her performance in David Mamet’s play, Speed-the-Plow, at London’s West End Playhouse Theater, but a close friend of the actress tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that “all of the bad press she has gotten is simply not true.”
“A bunch of her friends went to see the show and, despite what you hear, she gave a really solid performance,” a friend of the Liz & Dick actress says.
“She did not get handed her lines and was really funny. The audience had a great reaction to her.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lohan, 28, “doesn’t even slightly care what people are saying and she will audition for more plays because she really likes doing theater,” according to a source close to the actress.
“She is in a really good place right now and we are all really proud of her,” the friend tells RadarOnline.com.
“It seems like the old Lindsay is back. She looks great and she has allowed us all back into her life.”
Speed-the-Plow, which will run until Nov. 29, is directed by Lindsay Posner and also stars Richard Schiff and Nigel Lindsay.
