The Real Story Behind Their Arrests: Reese Witherspoon Has 'No Connection To The Real World' & Husband Is 'Party Animal'

In light of her recent disorderly conduct arrest, a longtime associate of Reese Witherspoon tried to explain the shocking incident, saying that the starlet "has no connection to the real world," and her husband, Hollywood agent Jim Toth -- who was arrested for DUI -- is a "party animal."
As we previously reported, Resse pulled out her celebrity card after Toth was pulled over April 19 in Atlanta, getting out of the car and squawking at officers "Do you know my name? You're about to find out who I am … you're about to be on national news."
The Legally Blonde star, 37, "is a southern sorority girl to her core," the insider told People. "She got discovered young, she got pregnant and married young, and has not connection to the real world. With her, what happens in public and what happens is private is very different.
"She's actually the real girl next door, not the cliched girl next door," the insider said, adding that the Election star prefers "guys with an edge."

As for the edgy man in her life, the insider said that while the CAA rep Toth "was on his best behavior" during his courting of the A-lister, "things started to change last year.
"Jim gets very loud and obnoxious when he drinks, and it's embarrassing for Reese," the insider said, while a CAA source told the magazine, "He's totally himself with her now, which means he can be a party animal again."
Despite the setback, the insider said the incident will likely point the couple down a positive path.
"This isn't going to break up their marriage," the source said. "It was a really bad decision on both of their parts. They're evaluating that and will make damn sure it doesn't happen again."
The couple is due in court May 22.
Reese has her celebrity supporters, even after the arrest, as you can see in the video below.
