She once poked fun at Eighties excess — but now the Material Girl is downsizing by selling one of her two New York homes for a whopping $23.5 million.
But for those who can't afford the massive price tag RadarOnline.com has pictures offering a sneak peek inside Madonna’s exclusive pad.
The 6,000 square feet Upper West Side apartment is spread across the fifth and sixth floors of a 1907 building called Harperly Hall.
Overlooking Central Park the property is equally lavish inside, boasting four separate bedroom wings, six to seven bedrooms, eight baths and five wood-burning fireplaces.
The master suite features a marble bathroom with Moorish arches, a steam shower and a claw-foot tub. Meanwhile, Juliet balconies with French doors offering a magnificent view of Central Park, off set the main rooms on both floors.
Madonna reportedly bought the property in the Eighties when she was still married to actor Sean Penn. She has since done extensive renovation with the help of her younger brother, interior designer Christopher Ciccone.
Madonna initially bought just one apartment in the building before buying two more units. She has taken full advantage of the space.
The property now has 15 rooms, including a formal dining room, a windowed library/dining room and a chef's eat-in kitchen.
According to realtor Brown Harris Stevens, Madonna's apartment also boasts a state of the art sound and humidifier system, 10ft 3in ceilings and oak floors.
Now a single mother-of-four, the raunchy star lives in her other New York property – a triple-wide townhouse on the Upper East Side, which she bought in 2009 for $32.5 million.
