Instead of shying away from her injuries, Lauren Scruggs has bravely showed off her amputated arm for the first time since a small plane propeller cut off her left hand four months ago.
Dressed in a green and black running outfit with a huge smile on her face, the 23-year-old fashion blogger/model was spotted shopping with her parents at a Plano, Texas, sports store this week, where she seemed unfazed by her missing limb and even used it to hang her small white purse from.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lauren was suing Aggressive Insurance Services, the insurer of the plane and pilot, Curt Richmond, involved in her horrific December 2011 accident, and had asked a court to define whether she was considered a “passenger’’ under the terms set forth by the insurance company.
After initially rejecting a $200,000 compensation offer, the two sides settled for an undisclosed amount last week for the accident during which Lauren lost her left eye and left hand, and suffered “cranial damage” and was “severely and catastrophically injured.”

Scruggs first showed off her new prosthetic eye in February, but this week marked the first time she has been out in public without long sleeves covering her left arm.
“The ocularist carefully painted and shaped the new eye,” explained her mom Cheryl Scruggs, who has been offering regular updates and words of inspiration on the family’s website, HopeForMarriages.com.
