Heather Locklear was taking Xanax before her older sister Colleen placed a 9-1-1 call from her Los Angeles-area home Thursday afternoon, a source close to the actress told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
As we previously reported, a source told RadarOnline.com that the Melrose Place beauty's sister Colleen "was worried about Heather’s state of mind and they were afraid she was going to harm herself ... because of her drinking mixed with medication.”
Locklear remains in a hospital in Thousand Oaks, California and is described as being “medically stable” with her parents at her side.
"She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine," Bill and Diane Locklear said in a statement issued by Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center.
Locklear, 50, called off her engagement to hunky Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner in 2011, just months after announcing it.
The source said her on-again, off-again relationship with the General Hospital actor, 52, is taking its toll on her.
“She is distraught over her relationship with Jack, it is on and off and it has upset her lately,” the source said. “Her sister called 9-1-1 because she was worried about Heather.”
The source tells RadarOnline.com that police were dispatched to the house along with medical personnel, and that 9-1-1 personnel were at the house for an hour before Locklear was taken to the hospital.
Locklear is expected to be released from the hospital sometime Friday.
