After being severely disfigured by a small plane propeller, model Lauren Scruggs is proving that she’s well on the road – and the ski slope! - to recovery, and RadarOnline.com has photos of her weekend away with family and friends.
Just two weeks after she was fitted for a prosthetic eye, the fashion blogger snapped shots of herself and pals at a winter sport competition, tweeting, “Watching ski jumping!! Love it.”
"Such a fun weekend with sweet family and friends :)," she wrote earlier on Saturday.
With dramatic side swept bangs and stylish over-sized sunglasses, it’s hard to believe that the pretty blonde 23-year-old smiling happily in the mountain snow scene suffered such hideous injuries just two months ago.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Scruggs has been suffering ferocious pain as her body heals from the horrific injuries she suffered on December 3, which included losing her left hand and eye, along with a fractured skull, broken left collarbone and brain injuries.
Lauren has been increasingly active on Twitter in recent weeks since her release from a Dallas, Texas hospital.
One cheerful message written by the LoloMag.com editor was fittingly all about fashion: “My goal: to replace my first and favorite @truereligion jeans that were taken away in Dec! So hard to find the exact match!”
However, it is not all fun and fashion, as her mother, Cheryl, recently revealed to supporters on the family’s CaringBridge.org blog how tough the healing process has been both physically and mentally.

“You would think that things would be on the upswing, huh? They are in some ways. She is progressing well, physically, but we have now entered into working through the 5 stages of grief.
“We have experienced a little of this along this journey, but we now face it head on. Hard? Um excruciating...” said Lauren’s mom.
