Ann Curry's Revenge: Ex-Host Says She 'Wasn't Surprised' About Matt Lauer Sex Scandal
Months after former Today Show host Matt Lauer was accused of sexual misconduct, NBC ex-anchor Ann Curry is speaking out.
During an explosive interview with CBS, show hosts asked Lauer's former rival what she thought of his shocking firing.
"I think it's, in general, overdue," answered the We'll Meet Again star.
Speaking of the "Me Too" movement and recent sexual harassment allegations in the media, Curry added: "We clearly are waking up to a reality, an injustice that has been occurring for some time, and I think it will continue to occur until the glass ceiling is finally broken."
Curry – who was fired from Today in 2015 – continued her talk, saying that sexual misconduct in the workplace comes from an abuse of power.
"The fact that we are moving against this imbalance of power is absolutely overdue," she said.
When asked if she believed Matt Lauer , 60, abused his power, a nervous Curry, 61, responded: "You know, I'm trying to do no harm in these conversations. I can tell you that I am not surprised by the allegations."

Show hosts continued to pressure the TV personality, urging her to talk about Lauer.
"Now I'm walking down that road," she said. "I'm trying not to hurt people. I know what it's like to be publicly humiliated. I never did anything wrong to be publicly humiliated and I don't wanna cause that kind of pain to somebody else," she insisted, before giving into her interviewers.

"I would be surprised if many women did not understand that there was a climate of verbal harassment that existed," she admitted, speaking of Lauer's alleged sexual misconduct in the workplace. "I think it'd be surprising if someone said that they didn't see that."
A pensive Ann Curry later told show hosts that she truly saw herself as an honest person, so she wasn't going to hide the truth if they asked her directly.
"Verbal sexual harassment was pervasive at NBC" she finally confessed.
Toward the end of the interview, CBS hosts asked Ann Curry if she believe Matt Lauer was actually behind her 2015 firing.
I don't' know who was behind it," assured Curry. "It hurt like hell… I've just let it go."
