Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son, Connor Cruise, is knee-deep in his Scientology beliefs. This week, the recluse 24-year-old was spotted walking around Clearwater, Florida - where the church is based - on his way to an event. As RadarOnline.com can reveal, the budding actor attended a gala to celebrate the birthday of late Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who would have turned 108 on March 13.
The exclusive bash was held at the Ruth Eckerd Center near the Church of Scientology’s headquarters. Connor’s famous dad, Tom, 56, was also in attendance, as was fellow Hollywood actor John Travolta and 4000 other dedicated followers.
The annual event was picketed by protesters, who stationed themselves outside the church-owned Fort Harrison Hotel as they held banners and chanted about their disapproval of the controversial institution.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Connor has been following the church’s strict rules and schedule ever since they punished him for exhibiting wild partying behavior.
Among other things, church higher-ups allegedly forced him to quit drinking alcohol. Though he was recently caught smoking a vape, he’s reportedly replaced the club scene with long hours of Scientology coursework.
“He’s not having a normal life, that’s for sure,” former Scientologist Katrina Reyes exclusively told RadarOnline.com. “They’ll have him on course and doing some auditing, he can’t go out and party and drink, and he’ll be on vitamins and juices.”
This January, Connor was pictured leaving Beverly Hills hotspot, Madeo, in high-spirits. He gave photographers a friendly smile and nod, despite Reyes’s claims that he isn’t allowed to go anywhere without his church security guards.
When he was spotted on March 7, Connor looked casual in a black puffer jacket, white baseball cap, black jeans and purple top. His beard was longer than usual, and he wore dark sunglasses to protect his eyes from the blazing Clearwater sun. Again, he seemed content and relaxed while speaking on his cell on the way to his car.
Family Affair
RadarOnline.com readers know Connor’s recluse sister Isabella Cruise is also a known Scientologist. Earlier this month, she participated in a promotional campaign for the religion’s internship program. “I became that annoying girl in the org who would just talk endlessly about how incredible training is and how phenomenal the internship is,” she said. “We all need to do this. It’s hard work…but it is worth everything because you will get through.”

Isabella, 26, who has had a rocky relationship with mom Nicole Kidman over the years, also gushed about her actor father, thanking him for introducing her to the religion. “Thank you to my Dad for everything. To Cass. To Tash. I would have drowned in my own problems if you hadn’t been there to sup me or get me through the preliminaries,” she said.
Church Hunk
Connor has been less outspoken, but RadarOnline.com revealed he got dumped by girlfriend Phylicia Bugna after she allegedly refused to get “sucked in” to his extreme Scientology beliefs. It didn’t take him long to recover, however, as he is now dating a beautiful lady named Silvia, who is known as a “Scientology Princess.” A church insider told RadarOnline.com the two are planning a Scientology wedding - and Nicole is not invited.
Unconditional Love
Nicole and Tom’s two adopted children have had a troubled relationship with their mother for quite some time.
Though she refuses to speak about them in public, she's often said she would give up her life for them, because they are her “purpose.”
Staying Silent
Nicole and Tom’s second wife, Katie Holmes, have both made it clear they want nothing to do with Scientology, though neither of them are allowed to publicly bash the religion. “They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them. And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe - that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here,” Nicole once told WHO Magazine, speaking of her estranged kids.
