When Jersey Shore first aired on television screens in 2009, there was no telling what to expect. Over time, the various personalities of cast members — Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick, Sam “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, and Deena Cortese — won over viewers. Now, a decade later, they are again teaming up for the world to see on the second season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
Throughout the years, the reality television stars have experienced scandals in their personal lives both on and off camera, including recently with Mike’s legal drama and imprisonment and Jenni’s bitter break up with her now-estranged husband, Roger Mathews.
Since fans are invested in the lives of this infamous group of guidos and guidettes, RadarOnline.com has compiled a list of some of the most explosive scandals the Jersey Shore castmates have gone through — and would probably rather forget.

Snooki
Snooki was quite the wild child in the earlier seasons of Jersey Shore. After the first two episodes, viewers witnessed her getting punched by a man later identified as Brad Ferro. According to US Weekly, the scene was so violent, MTV later cut that part of the episode so it no longer airs on television.
In 2010, Snooki was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct while in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The charges were later dropped, but she was required to pay a $500 fine and perform community service.
The mother of three has since settled down and become engrossed in life with her family. But at one point, people questioned whether she and her husband, Jionni LaValle, were headed towards divorce.
In 2015, rumors spread that he was linked to an Ashley Madison account that allowed married men and women to have affairs.
Speculation arose once again when new photos of him were absent from her social media posts, as well as the family’s Christmas card shoot. He also chose no to be apart of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Amid the rumors, however, Snooki revealed the family was expecting another baby.
JWoww
In September 2018, JWoww shocked fans when she filed for divorce from husband Roger Mathews after nearly three years of marriage. When the news broke that the divorce was underway, Mathews shared he was “not done fighting,” and the two seemed to be working things out until news broke of their heated argument.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the dispute that took place in their New Jersey home ended in a restraining order against Mathews, who was hauled away by cops, despite the fact that he was the one to make the call!
JWoww filed for full custody of their children, accusing him of both physical and emotional abuse. She has since moved on with her new boyfriend, 24-year-old Zack Clayton Carpinello.
Pauly D
Pauly D has remained copacetic with his cast members, but his life’s drama is usually related to the women he chooses to date or hook up with. In 2014, he announced he fathered his daughter Amabella with a former Las Vegas fling, Amanda Markert. There were initially some disagreements with custody, but the two have managed to establish a healthy co-parenting relationship.
Pauly later dated Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’ Day for two years before they officially broke up. The couple tried to salvage their relationship on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars but after fights about messy rooms and establishing there was a “disconnect” between them, they decided to go their separate ways.
Pauly even tried to find love alongside his best friend Vinny on their dating show, A Double Shot At Love. But he left the show single, leaving then hopeful Nikki Hall surprised. She later blasted him for telling her he loved her behind the scenes despite the fact that he had blocked her.
Mike “The Situation”
DAILY. BREAKING. CELEBRITY NEWS. ALL FREE.
When the world was first introduced to Mike, he was a party boy with an addiction to a lot more than just women. Following the end of the show, he sobered up from his dependence on drugs and even fell in love with and married his longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce.
As RadarOnline.com reported, “The Situation”and his brother Marc were indicted for tax fraud in September 2014. The Jersey Shore star, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 8 months in federal prison in October, 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service when he’s out. He checked himself in January and has been supported by his wife as well as his cast members. With good behavior, he could be out as early as September, and, as sources exclusively told RadarOnline.com, he might even release a tell-all book about his experience in jail.
Vinny
At the start of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Vinny introduced the world to his model girlfriend Elicea Shyann. Though he initially showed some restraint in the house, he eventually ending up flirting and exchanging numbers with strippers and bottle girls at a Miami club. He attempted to defend himself on Twitter, claiming he had no intentions to sleep with any of them and that television is edited to make scenes look worse. He shared that he and Elicea were broken up because of their long distance relationship, but Elicea revealed the show’s drama caused her to end up in the “darkest places,” adding she was “humiliated” and “broken,” by his actions.
Ronnie
Ronnie is no stranger to toxic relationships. The world especially witnessed the unhealthy bond between him and his ex-girlfriend, Sammi Sweetheart. She exited the show and opted out of the opportunity to join the cast in their reboot.
In the reboot, we learned the details behind yet another bad relationship, this time with the mother of his child, Jen Harley. Ronnie found out Jen was pregnant just months after they got together and grappled with the idea of being with her forever. The couple had a few “break up to make up” moments, which took a toll on Ronnie’s mental health, eventually resulting in a rehab stint for alcohol addiction and depression. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Ronnie filed a domestic battery report against her on New Year’s Eve after she allegedly threw an ashtray at him. In May, she was arrested in Las Vegas for domestic battery after allegedly dragging Ronnie with her car.
Deena
For the most part, Deena has managed to stay away from drama, but in the first season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, she revealed to Ronnie that she was hurt he allowed her friendship with his ex-girlfriend Sammi to prevent him from checking up on her following her father’s death. They resolved the issue on the show.
Angelina
Angelina Pivarnick is one of the original members of the cast, but during her on-and-off appearances of the first two seasons, she barely got along with any of her fellow castmates. In 2010, she and Snooki had a spat on camera after Nicole hooked up with one of her former beaus. As for Jenni, their feud started after she delivered news that Ronnie had been cheating on Sam, fueling JWoww and Snooki to write the infamous letter informing “The Sweetheart” of the infidelity.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Angelina’s fight with boss and landlord Danny Merk resulted in her getting booted off the show, but after 8 years of feuding, she returned to the show and almost cheated on her fiancé with Pauly D.
