Tyler Robinson's inner circle is being pulled into the case over the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Prosecutors say his lover, Lance Twiggs, will be called to testify as the defense scrambles to delay the trial.
Inner Circle Pulled In

Prosecutors plan to call Robinson's inner circle as key witnesses at the upcoming hearing.
Prosecutors are preparing to call some of the people closest to Robinson, including his parents and Twiggs, as key witnesses, according to the Denver Gazette.
Twiggs, who lived with Robinson, is expected to testify at the preliminary hearing, currently scheduled for May 18.
The move suggests prosecutors are leaning heavily on firsthand accounts as they build their case in the killing of Kirk.
Defense Wants Major Delay

Defense attorneys say they're overwhelmed after receiving more than 600,000 discovery files.
Meanwhile, Robinson's legal team is pushing to pause proceedings for at least six months, arguing they're buried in evidence.
Attorneys say they were handed more than 600,000 files during discovery, with even more still to come, per the outlet.
"Discovery in this case is incomplete, voluminous, and the processing of it is complex," the defense wrote, adding that a forensic expert will need months to review everything.
Robinson's team is also trying to keep cameras out of the courtroom.
A hearing on April 17 will determine whether media access is restricted, with the defense arguing coverage could be "harmful and prejudicial" to Robinson's right to a fair trial.
Bullet Evidence Questioned

Lawyers argue a damaged bullet fragment cannot be definitively linked to a specific weapon.
The defense is also trying to poke holes in a key piece of forensic evidence — the bullet tied to Kirk's death.
According to filings, a federal analysis comparing a bullet fragment from the autopsy to a rifle recovered by police came back inconclusive. The fragment was too damaged to definitively match a weapon.
Robinson's attorneys argue that it could be "exculpatory," but prosecutors say it doesn't change the bigger picture — especially with other evidence and testimony expected to come into play.
Investigators also recovered an unfired bullet casing allegedly marked with the words: "hey fascist!"
Case Carries Death Penalty Risk

Robinson faces aggravated murder charges and could face the death penalty if convicted.
The case has already sparked early legal fights. In February, Judge Tony Graf shut down a defense attempt to remove prosecutors over an alleged conflict of interest.
Robinson is facing multiple charges, including aggravated murder, tied to the September 10 shooting at Utah Valley University.
Authorities say a note found by Twiggs under Robinson's keyboard read: "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I'm going to take it."
When asked why, Robinson allegedly told him, "I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out."
If convicted, Robinson could face the death penalty.
