Kendra Duggar has a tough road ahead of her as she juggles her own arrest on child endangerment charges and her husband Joseph's molestation allegations.
Jamie E. Wright, L.A. lawyer and founder of Wright Law Firm, exclusively told RadarOnline.com that the 27-year-old's attorney will need to create "clear distinctions between Kendra's case and any other part of the storyline created by Joseph's charges."
Kendra and Joseph Duggar's Cases Need to Be Distinct

Joseph and Kendra Duggar got married in 2017.
Joseph, 31, and Kendra, 27, were both charged with four counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and false imprisonment after authorities allegedly found locks on the outside of bedroom doors – presumably belonging to their four children – in their Arkansas home in the days that followed Joseph's arrest.
While the couple received identical charges, the cases need to be handled separately, as the outcomes of their situations could "vary greatly" based on other circumstances.
"One case could result in a much greater penalty than the other case, or one could enter into a plea agreement while the other contests the charges," Wright explained of the legal process for a husband and a wife facing similar allegations.
Kendra Duggar Has Her Own Lawyer

Kendra Duggar spoke with Joseph several times over the phone while he was in jail.
As Radar previously reported, Kendra let Joseph know that she'd secured her own lawyer – just for herself, not for him – during a phone call with him in jail.
Wright clarified that it is "illegal for attorneys to act as the representatives of both parties" in a case, and noted the mother-of-four indicated she was willing to put herself first and focus on her own troubles by making sure she had own legal counsel in the high-stress situation.
Kendra Duggar Does Not Live With Her Kids After Arrest

Kendra and Joseph Duggar share four children together.
Kendra and Joseph's four young children have been temporarily placed in the care of someone else amid their legal drama.
On March 22, Kendra spoke with Joseph and confirmed she was not with their kids, but they were "doing good" from what she'd heard.
Two days later, she said the day of her husband's arrest and the day she lost her children were both incredibly difficult for her to handle emotionally in a separate phone call.
"But it's just like, when you then take my babies from me, they were who I was just going to pour my life into," she explained.

Joseph Duggar's Molestation Arrest and Release on Bond

Joseph Duggar was seen at a Florida airport after being released on bond.
Joseph was accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl during a family vacation to Florida in 2020 and was subsequently charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, molesting a victim under 12, and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person over 18.
According to police, Joseph allegedly confessed "he touched the victim over her clothing" and that his "intentions were not pure," on a phone call to the victim's father.
The victim also alleged that Joseph would encourage her to sit next to him on a couch, while he "covered them with a blanket" and then "touch the top portions of her thighs and would inch higher and higher, closer to the victim's waistline."
The disgraced former reality star was transferred from a Washington County jail in Arkansas to Bay County, Florida, late last month.
Joseph was later released on $600,000 bond and was spotted at a Florida airport on March 31.
