Royal Bums' Rush! Meghan & Harry Fight With Queen Over Title
Feb. 23 2020, Updated 11:31 p.m. ET
Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry left their royal duties but are now battling with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth about the title!
As the Daily Mail has reported, the two posted a sour statement on their website on Friday night, claiming that the Queen does not own the word royal across the world after they were forced to drop their "Sussex Royal" brand.
First, Meghan and Harry announced they would stop using the word "royal" in their branding after the spring -- in a Friday evening statement around 7:30 p.m.
But it appeared the whole situation stung the two, as hours later, they put out a new, seemingly angry statement, on their own website around 10 p.m.
The new statement read: "While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word 'Royal' overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use 'Sussex Royal' or any iteration of the word 'Royal' in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020."
Then, in a whiny aside, Meghan and Harry seemed to complain that the palace is treating them differently than other family members after their exit!
"While there is precedent for other titled members of the Royal Family to seek employment outside of the institution, for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a 12-month review period has been put in place," the statement noted.
"Per the agreement The Duke and Duchess of Sussex understand that they are required to step back from Royal duties and not undertake representative duties on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen."

They also said they "require effective security to protect them and their son," Archie.
British journalist Piers Morgan tweeted on Saturday, "The staggering disrespect these two keep showing to the Queen is outrageous. Who the hell do they think they are?"
Many, like Morgan, felt the couple's later statement sounded hostile.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, former actress Meghan and her prince announced they wanted to take a step back from the royal family.
After they made their discontent known, Queen Elizabeth mandated the couple's exit in a shocking official statement on January 18.
"It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life," the Queen said at the time.
Now Prince Charles' biographer Tom Bower has told MailOnline that the public is "finally seeing Meghan's true nature and motives."
He noted, "Her comments about the Queen's decision smacks of spiteful fury. I fear it will get worse."
