Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have split up, Us Weeklyhas confirmed. The breakup came as the “Slide Away” singer went to Las Vegas on Saturday, September 21, with her mom Tish and sister Brandi. Cyrus was set to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival there.
Via Instagram, Carter showed her followers that she was staying at home in L.A. and relaxing on her couch. A source also told PEOPLE, “Miley and Kaitlyn broke up. They’re still friends.” “They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated but they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore,” the insider added.
The fling followed Cyrus and husband Liam Hemsworth's troubled marriage officially endingwith the actor filing for divorce last month They had been married for just eight months. The women were last seen togethershopping in Studio City, California, on Saturday, September 14. They wore matching outfits and looked cozy. Before that, the two had stunned fans by kissing on an Italian getaway, flaunting PDA at the VMAs and appearing at New York Fashion Week.

She said she wanted an open relationship.
