Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter got affectionate and put their arms around each other backstage at the MTV VMAs and RadarOnline.com has video and photos from the secret moment!
Right before Cyrus took to the stage to perform her breakup song, "Slide Away," she was walking next to Carter with the cameras following them.
Cyrus, 26, was wearing a black dress and Carter, 30, had on jeans and a baggy grey top.
As the new couple walked past the MTV camera Carter put her arm around Cyrus and Cyrus then put her arm around Carter.
The two women went through recent breakups and have been hot and heavy in public with each other since they were spotted kissing in Italy on Aug. 9.
The PDA on camera was a new level of romance for the gals.
Cryus and her husband, Liam Hemsworth, split up less than a year after they tied the knot in Tennessee.
Carter and her husband, The Hills star Brody Jenner, called it quits after it was revealed that they were never legally married.
Carter was by Cyrus’ side at the MTV VMAs, attending her rehearsal earlier in the day, as US reported.
Cyrus’ new song lyrics seemed to reveal details about her breakup.
“Once upon a time, it was made for us / Woke up one day, it had turned to dust. Baby, we were found, but now we’re lost / So it’s time to let it go.”
