O.J. Simpson is celebrating his 72nd birthday, and he’s sharing the day with his new online followers. On Tuesday, July 9, the former jailbird posted a bizarre video on his new Twitter page, voicing his thoughts on just about everything.
“Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly,” he starts off.
In the clip, Simpson looks relaxed while golfing with friends.
“You know it’s hard for me to believe that today I am celebrating my 33rd annual 39th birthday,” he continues, shaking his head and laughing.
Holding a golf club, Simpson — who was released from prison in 2017 after serving nine years for robbery and kidnapping — then goes on a rant about his life and his attitude towards Twitter trolls.
“I’ll tell you, it’s been quite a ride,” he says. “They say in every life some rain must fall, well I’ve had some hurricanes descend in my life, but I thank the Lord because through it all he’s kept me relatively healthy, and in good spirits, and positive, and that’s tough to do today with all the haters on the internet.”
Making dad joke after dad joke, he adds: “Opinions are like armpits, and most of the time they stink.”
Simpson ends the video by taking a look around the golf course, and saying goodbye to his followers.
He says: “Hey look, I got some guys to beat, and some cake to eat. Take care!”
RadarOnline.com readers know Simpson has long been accused of the murders of wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, but he has vehemently denied any involvement.
After being freed from prison at the age of 70, he moved into his own five-bedroom mansion in Las Vegas, where he plans to live out his days, unless he’s able to return to Florida, where his adult children live.
Ever since he joined Twitter, Simpson has created havoc. Not only did he launch his profile hours after the 25th anniversary of the infamous murders, but he also shocked fans by speaking out about rumors he's Khloe Kardashian's father!
In an exclusive interview with Radar, Nancy Grace said she believed Simpson's wild, aggressive Twitter behavior is "his nature."
