April 11 2019, Updated 11:33 p.m. ET
Wendy Williams’ marriage to Kevin Hunter has been over for six months, court papers exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal.
In court papers obtained from a New Jersey Court house, Williams, 54, filed a complaint for divorce from Hunter on Wednesday, April 10, citing irreconcilable differences.
“There exists irreconcilable differences between the parties, which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of six (6) months and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation,” the filing read.
"There may be support issues related to" their 18-year-old son Kevin Jr.
Williams is demanding the marriage be dissolved, that the court equitably divide the parties’ marital property, and that the appropriate amount of child support be established.
She is also asking for further relief that the Court deems fair and equitable.
In the court papers, her insurance policies that cover her and Hunter include life insurance, automobile insurance, health insurance, homeowners insurance and disability insurance.
Williams married Hunter on November 30, 1999 in a civil ceremony in New Jersey.
Hunter confirmed the filing to RadarOnline.com, saying, “This just happen at 7am. Not speaking now.”
The personal representative for Williams said, "Thank you to everyone for respecting the family's privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time."

As RadarOnline.com has extensively reported, Williams took a two-month break from her talk show following months of bizarre behavior. RadarOnline.com reported the hiatus was to deal with her husband’s alleged affair with Sharina Hudson.
She addressed the rumors on her Monday, March 4 episode.
“Marriages are not easy – and don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone,” she said of her ring. “It ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime. He is my best friend, my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about.”
On Tuesday, March 19, Williams, who has been open about her battle with substance abuse, revealed she’s been living in a Long Island City sober living home.
The mother-of-one was allegedly rushed to the hospital after relapsing on alcohol on Monday, March 25, Daily Mail reported.
This came after reports that Hudson gave birth to a daughter.
On this morning’s episode, Williams went on-air without her wedding ring.
