Those involved in the explosive docuseries Surviving R. Kelly are being hounded around the clock in an alleged terrifying campaign of threats and harassment started by the singer’s former manager, James Mason. And now, the ex-staffer is a wanted fugitive!
“Mr. Mason is a fugitive,” Captain Joey Smith of the Henry County Police Department exclusively told RadarOnline.com. “Our investigators would like to get his version of events.”
In a shocking incident report obtained by RadarOnline.com, Timothy Savage — whose daughter is allegedly being held captive by the entertainer — claims Mason threatened him. “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family,” Mason reportedly said. “When I see you I’m gonna get you — I’m going to f***ing kill you.”
RadarOnline.com readers know R. Kelly’s sex cult saga sparked national outrage after women took to primetime television to reveal chilling new details about the entertainer and his revolting past. The Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx called the findings “sickening.”
“The allegations in the docuseries regarding R. Kelly are deeply, deeply concerning,” Foxx said Wednesday afternoon at a news conference in Chicago. “I was sickened by the allegations – they were not new to me.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, R. Kelly’s new manager allegedly continued the threats against Savage, telling him that “it would be best for him and his family if the documentary does not air.” According to the legal documents, the staffer said R. Kelly would be forced to retaliate if Savage continued participating with Lifetime on the film.
“The time has come,” a source close to the investigation against the shamed entertainer told RadarOnline.com. “His former manager threatened to kill parents of an alleged victim in May – now, his new manager took the baton and continued the harassment. Anyone and everyone involved in this plot to intimidate witnesses, accusers and their families will be brought to justice – including anyone who assists them.”
The source noted that charges against Don Russell are imminent as a result of his recent harassing messages to Savage on the eve the Lifetime docuseries premiered.
As if that wasn’t enough, R. Kelly’s former teen girlfriend, Lisa Van Allen, also alleged that the shamed singer plotted to kill her after she stole one of his sex tapes.
Mason is accused of terroristic threats. If convicted, he faces a maximum punishment of ten years imprisonment and a $5,000 fine. Russell, if charged and convicted faces a maximum of one year imprisonment and a $1,000 fine.
