Michael Fishman Gets Legal Separation To Save Wife’s Health Insurance
'The Conners' star Michael Fishman chose legal separation to save his estranged wife's health insurance.
The actor did not want to exclude Jenny Briner from his policy by getting a formal divorce.
He revealed: "Among the reasons for not getting a regular divorce is the shared desire to keep Jenny Briner covered by my health insurance, and allow to slowly unfold our 20 years together in a way mutually beneficial for our family, particularly on behalf of our children."
She filed court documents on Thursday for a legal separation after the couple had been married for 19 years.
Their split is understood to be amicable with the couple and their two kids going to the courthouse together before having a family meal.
Fishman is famous for playing Roseanne Barr's television son and he obviously is trying to keep the split with his wife as friendly as possible.
The 37-year-old actor played DJ Conner on 'Roseanne' and then on the spin-off show also.
